Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Process Safety Design for an engineering opportunity based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The candidate will lead process safety engineering initiatives across oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or energy projects. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead and oversee process safety design and engineering activities. • Execute and participate in safety studies including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL Assessment, QRA, and ALARP demonstrations. • Conduct Relief and Flare System Design, PSV/PVRV Sizing, and Consequence Modelling. • Oversee design of Fire Protection systems, Fire & Gas Detection, and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems. • Manage Hazardous Area Classification assessments and compliance. • Ensure adherence to industry standards including API, NFPA, IEC 61508/61511, and ASME. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 15+ years of relevant experience in Process Safety Engineering. • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical / Process / Process Safety Engineering. • Technical Skills & Tools: Process Safety Engineering, HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL Assessment, QRA, ALARP, Relief/Flare System Design, PSV/PVRV Sizing, Fire Protection, Hazardous Area Classification, Fire & Gas Detection, ESD, Consequence Modelling. • Software Proficiency: PHAST, FLARENET, Aspen HYSYS. • Codes & Standards: API, NFPA, IEC 61508/61511, ASME.
