• Role & Company / Project Overview: Vhirex Consulting is hiring a seasoned and dynamic Lead OpenWRT Engineer / Technical Lead with deep expertise in OpenWRT, Linux kernel, device drivers, and Qualcomm platforms to join their engineering team in Bangalore. The role focuses on leading board bring-up, kernel customization, and mentoring the team to ensure a stable OpenWRT environment. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Lead board bring-up, bootloader integration, and embedded platform development. - Perform Linux kernel porting, configuration, and customization. - Integrate, configure, and maintain U-Boot bootloader. - Develop, debug, and optimize device drivers and Wi-Fi drivers (ath11k / QCA). - Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols. - Mentor the engineering team to build and maintain a highly stable OpenWRT platform. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Embedded Linux development. - Expertise in OpenWRT and Qualcomm SoCs, QSDK & BSP. - Deep familiarity with Linux Kernel Porting, U-Boot, ARM-based SoCs, and Device Drivers. - Proven experience with Wi-Fi Drivers (ath11k / QCA) and Layer 2 / Layer 3 Networking. - Strong proficiency in C Programming and Shell Scripting. - Nice to have: Experience with OpenWRT on Qualcomm IPQ or MSM series, or Android-based Qualcomm BSPs. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India (On-site) • Application Instructions: - Submit updated resume to the designated recruitment email address.
