Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview: Willware Technologies is hiring a QA Automation Lead to guide automation delivery, strengthen regression quality, and work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable releases. The position combines Playwright development, AI-assisted automation, test strategy, and team leadership. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Build and maintain scalable Playwright automation frameworks using JavaScript and TypeScript - Use Claude AI to create, debug, refactor, and improve test scripts; review AI-generated code for correctness and maintainability - Develop reusable page objects, fixtures, utilities, assertions, reporting, and test-data workflows - Lead UI, API, and end-to-end automation for business-critical workflows - Analyze and stabilize failing, flaky, duplicated, or outdated regression tests - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve reporting and failure diagnostics - Assess and lead phased migration of existing Playwright tests to InteractAI or a comparable automation platform - Track automation coverage, pass rates, defects, migration progress, and delivery risks - Lead and mentor QA automation engineers; coordinate planning and delivery with product, engineering, and client teams - Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - 8+ years of software testing experience, including QA automation - Strong hands-on JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright experience - Experience designing or maintaining automation frameworks - Practical experience using Claude AI for test automation and validating generated code - Hands-on experience with UI, API, and end-to-end automation - Proven experience stabilizing regression suites and troubleshooting flaky tests - Familiarity with JIRA and test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray - CI/CD integration experience and a track record of leading or mentoring QA engineers - Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills - Preferred: Experience with InteractAI or a similar AI-enabled automation platform - Preferred: Experience migrating test suites between frameworks or platforms - Preferred: Knowledge of API authentication, test-data management, cross-browser testing, Git, code reviews, and cloud-based test execution • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India - Work Mode: Hybrid • Compensation & Benefits: - Not specified • Application Instructions: - Interested candidates should submit their resume via email.
