Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring an experienced Lead Data Engineer for our Technology function in Bangalore, India. This is a high-priority, Individual Contributor role focused on cloud data engineering, modern data platforms, and AI-ready data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on expertise across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, streaming architectures, and modern data warehouses, coupled with exposure to Machine Learning and Agentic AI integration. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Design, develop, and manage scalable, cloud-based data engineering solutions. • Build and maintain robust data pipelines, semantic layers, and data models. • Ensure data quality, reliability, governance, and security across the data platform. • Enable Machine Learning and Agentic AI capabilities across enterprise data platforms. • Optimize cloud infrastructure, data processing, and operational costs. • Implement data integration, orchestration, and CI/CD workflows. • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Experience: 8 to 12 years of overall experience in Data Engineering, with 5+ years designing and managing large-scale data systems. • Strong expertise in cloud data platforms, scalable data architecture, enterprise data warehousing, and pipeline development. • Solid understanding of Git, Agile methodologies, and SDLC. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. • Mandatory Technical Skills: - AWS Cloud Platform - Python, PySpark & SQL - Snowflake - Apache Kafka / AWS Kinesis / Event Hub / Dataflow - Apache Airflow / Astronomer - CI/CD & DataOps - Data Modeling & Data Warehousing - Data Governance & Data Quality - Metadata Management - Data Platform Engineering & Administration - Agentic AI / LLM Integrations / Orchestration Frameworks • Good-to-Have Skills: - Multi-cloud exposure - Observability & Monitoring Tools - API & Microservices Integration - Power BI - Retail Domain Experience - React UI Development Exposure Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Bangalore, India (Onsite/Office-based as designated). • Role Type: Full-time Individual Contributor.
