• Role & Company / Project Overview Urgent hiring for an Inpatient (IP) Medical Coder in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE within the Healthcare / Hospital / Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) sector. The position involves managing complex inpatient coding, ensuring clinical documentation integrity, and strictly adhering to Abu Dhabi healthcare regulations. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Conduct hands-on inpatient and day case medical coding in compliance with UAE healthcare standards. - Review complex inpatient cases, operative reports, discharge summaries, and medical records to guarantee absolute coding accuracy and completeness. - Perform hands-on IR-DRG grouping, DRG validation, diagnosis sequencing, CC/MCC identification, severity assessment, and clinical documentation integrity reviews. - Identify documentation deficiencies, coding discrepancies, and potential claim rejection risks. - Carry out DRG audits, denial analysis, coding corrections, and actively coordinate with physicians for documentation clarification. - Operate within hospital HIS/RCM systems and follow standard insurance claim submission workflows. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Inpatient and Day Case medical coding within the UAE healthcare sector. - Strong knowledge of DOH Abu Dhabi coding guidelines, claims adjudication rules, and insurance requirements. - Advanced proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and hospital DRG coding methodologies. - Practical, demonstrated experience with Abu Dhabi IR-DRG requirements is essential. - Mandatory Professional Certification: CCS (AHIMA) or CIC (AAPC). - Additional Qualifications: Advanced credentials such as CDIP (AHIMA) or CCDS (ACDIS) are a strong advantage. - Previous Abu Dhabi healthcare insurance experience and excellent regulatory compliance knowledge are essential. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Job Location: Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite hospital/healthcare setting). - Availability: Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred. • Compensation & Benefits - Standard healthcare sector compensation package based on qualifications and experience. • Application Instructions - Share an updated CV via LinkedIn direct message or via email to the recruitment team.
