Role & Company / Project Overview: Ocean Across is hiring a hands-on Full Stack Technical Lead to build secure, scalable applications and lead a team of 4–5 developers. The role requires someone who can architect, code, troubleshoot, and own end-to-end technical delivery rather than just managing people. A previous Technical Lead designation is not mandatory if candidates possess the required expertise and leadership potential. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead and mentor 4–5 developers while actively contributing to development. • Build scalable Next.js/React frontends and Java/Spring Boot backend services and REST APIs. • Architect multi-tenant systems using Domain-Driven Design (DDD). • Design and optimise relational databases, SQL queries, indexes, and transactions. • Deploy and manage AWS applications (ECS, Aurora RDS), monitoring, and production support. • Integrate payment gateways with secure transaction processing, webhooks, retries, and failure handling. • Own technical architecture, debugging, performance, code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD. • Collaborate with product and business teams, manage technical risks, and ensure timely delivery. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Experience: 6–10 years' experience (flexible). • Frontend: Next.js, React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, responsive UI, API integration, and optimisation. • Backend: Core Java, OOP, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, DDD, multi-tenancy, concurrency, exception handling, and secure coding. • Database: Advanced SQL, schema design, normalisation, indexing, joins, stored procedures, transactions, and query optimisation. • Cloud & DevOps: AWS ECS, Aurora RDS, Docker, CI/CD, cloud deployment, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting. • Payments: Payment APIs, transaction workflows, webhooks, retries, and failure handling. Reconciliation and idempotency knowledge desirable. • Leadership: Strong problem-solving, technical decision-making, mentoring, communication, ownership, and accountability. • Good to Have: Fintech or financial services experience; AI/ML integrations and AI-powered applications; Digital wallets and payment orchestration; Application security, distributed systems, and high-availability architecture.
