This role leads a lean, high-seniority team of engineers while staying hands-on as a player-coach. The Manager, Engineering - Catalog owns delivery commitments, grows engineers, and models AI-native development practices. Responsibilities include sprint planning, delivery commitments, retrospectives, writing full-stack production code using AI-assisted tooling, partnering with the Principal Engineer on architectural direction, hiring and onboarding engineers, and driving collaboration with product managers and design. Required: hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor), full-stack orientation, delivery ownership, engineering excellence, people leadership, communication skills, production experience with C#/.NET, Go, Python, or Java, React or equivalent frontend framework, relational database experience with MS SQL Server or Postgres, and ability to contribute across the full stack. Minimum 7-10 years software engineering experience with at least two years in a team lead or engineering manager role. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
