Role & Company / Project Overview: Worknovas LLC is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a 6-month contract opportunity. This remote role is designed for a senior quality assurance professional who can take end-to-end ownership of automation strategy, solve complex testing challenges, and drive quality engineering across modern web architectures. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead the test automation effort and drive quality assurance across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using Playwright. • Perform manual and automated test case creation, execution, and defect tracking. • Conduct comprehensive UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. • Perform API testing and validation utilizing Postman or equivalent tools. • Execute advanced SQL queries, joins, and data validations for database verification and troubleshooting. • Validate Micro Frontends (MFE) and complex portal integrations. • Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable automation frameworks. • Mentor junior QA engineers and guide testing best practices within Agile/Scrum teams. • Take independent ownership of technical decision-making and automation strategy. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 8+ years of professional QA testing experience across the SDLC. • Strong, hands-on expertise with Playwright test automation. • Advanced SQL skills (writing complex queries, multi-table joins, data validation, and issue troubleshooting). • Demonstrated API testing experience using tools such as Postman. • Proven experience testing Micro Frontends (MFE) and web portal integrations. • Hands-on proficiency with Azure DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Preferred / Nice to Have: Experience with Docker testing environments, Cucumber/BDD frameworks, building automation frameworks from scratch, and mentoring junior engineers. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Remote. • Engagement: 6-Month Contract (W2 Contract).
