Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced IMS for z/OS Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in supporting large-scale IBM IMS environments. This is a long-term contract role with 100% remote availability across the USA. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Provide z/OS systems programming and systems support for large-scale IBM IMS environments. • Perform z/OS software product installation and customization. • Handle IMS logging focusing on OLDS and SLDS. • Analyze and manage IMS record types and understand their interrelationships. • Utilize JCL and IBM Utilities to manage batch processing, system maintenance, and utilities execution. • Execute robust problem determination, troubleshooting, testing, and incident resolution. • Collaborate directly with customers, technical specialists, and project teams to ensure system integrity. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 8+ years of z/OS Systems Programming / Systems Support experience. • Deep expertise in IBM IMS for z/OS. • Strong hands-on experience with IMS logging (OLDS & SLDS). • In-depth knowledge of IMS record types and their relationships. • Strong experience with JCL and IBM Utilities. • Proven experience in z/OS software product installation and customization. • Excellent problem determination, troubleshooting, testing, and resolution skills. • Demonstrated track record working directly with customers and technical/project teams. • Nice to have: Knowledge of System z SMF Records. • Nice to have: Experience with IBM Z Performance and Capacity Analytics. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: 100% Remote – USA. • Work arrangement: Full remote work. • Duration: Long-Term Contract.
