Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer – Storage (NetApp / SAN), Linux & Backup to manage enterprise storage, backup, and recovery for a large-scale, mission-critical environment. Candidates from outside the UAE are open to apply and relocate. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Administer multi-vendor SAN / NAS storage: NetApp ONTAP, IBM Storwize, Dell PowerVault - Manage enterprise backup and recovery: Veritas NetBackup (policies, master / media servers, deduplication) - Operate Brocade Fibre Channel SAN: zoning, fabric health, ISL, MPIO - Support RHEL 7/8/9 storage connectivity: multipath, LVM, patching - Configure and test replication, DR and documented recovery - Capacity planning, performance tuning and storage security - Maintain SOPs, risk assessments and rack documentation • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Experience: 10–15 years - Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science or a related field - Must have hands-on NetApp ONTAP or IBM Storwize / enterprise SAN-NAS administration - Must have enterprise backup experience: Veritas NetBackup (or Commvault / Veeam) - Must have Brocade SAN zoning and fabric knowledge - Must have RHEL / Linux storage connectivity experience - Availability for planned and emergency out-of-hours support - Good to have: IBM tape library operations (media management, vaulting, retention) - Good to have: Dell PowerVault, replication and DR testing - Good to have: Automation with PowerShell, Python or Bash - Good to have: ITSM and change management exposure - Good to have certifications: NCDA, IBM Storage Virtualize, Veritas VCP, RHCSA / RHCE - GCC / UAE experience preferred • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Full-time, onsite role based in Sharjah, UAE - Open to relocate: candidates from outside the UAE can apply • Compensation & Benefits - Salary: AED 15,000 – 18,000 per month (based on experience) - Benefits as per UAE Labour Law • Application Instructions - Please submit updated CV, expected salary, notice period, willingness to relocate, current CTC, and notice period via the provided application contact details.
