Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview We are urgently hiring an experienced and technically strong Technical Manager – MEP to oversee all technical aspects of MEP projects for an MEP Contracting firm in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Immediate joining is required, with preference given to candidates holding a valid Saudi Iqama. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Manage and oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and related MEP systems. - Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation. - Coordinate MEP designs and resolve technical issues with consultants, clients, contractors, and project teams. - Ensure MEP works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and standards. - Lead the technical team and provide guidance to MEP engineers and site teams. - Review drawings and identify design conflicts, discrepancies, and constructability issues. - Coordinate MEP works with architectural, structural, and other disciplines. - Monitor technical progress and ensure timely completion of design reviews, approvals, and site requirements. - Assist in resolving RFIs, technical queries, and site problems. - Review testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover requirements. - Support procurement teams with technical evaluations and review of MEP materials and equipment. - Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, HSE standards, and company procedures. - Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project management. - Maintain proper technical records and documentation throughout the project. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - 10+ years of relevant MEP experience, preferably with Saudi/GCC project experience. - Proven experience as a Technical Manager, MEP Manager, or Senior MEP Engineer. - Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and technical coordination. - Experience with shop drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, material approvals, method statements, and design coordination. - Knowledge of relevant international and Saudi standards and codes. - Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering/project management software. - Ability to manage multiple technical activities and meet project deadlines. - Valid Saudi Iqama preferred. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Onsite) - Joining: Immediate • Application Instructions Interested candidates should submit their updated CV specifying "TECHNICAL MANAGER – MEP – Your Name" in the email subject line and CV file name.
