### Role & Company / Project Overview FoxHire is urgently seeking 30 qualified and highly experienced Instrument Technicians for an upcoming Oil & Gas project in Ras Laffan, Qatar. This position is open strictly to Qatar-based applicants. The role involves working on instrumentation systems, calibration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and loop checking in major industrial facilities. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of instrumentation systems. - Conduct mandatory loop checking and function checking from field instruments to DCS. - Work alongside DCS/PLC system vendors or OEMs for loop and function checking. - Execute troubleshooting after loop checking. - Prepare loop folders and review P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and loop drawings. - Operate independently with minimal supervision across hazardous and classified areas. - Adhere to site safety standards and undergo/pass PTW Receiver / Task Supervisor training. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline. - Recognized trade certification in Instrumentation and Control Systems. - Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience as an Instrument Technician in the Oil & Gas industry (mandatory). - Solid experience in refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG facilities, offshore platforms, gas processing, or production facilities. - Proven expertise in loop checking, DCS/PLC systems, and post-loop troubleshooting. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Good English communication skills. - Additional advantages: Certifications in PLC, DCS, SIS; CompEx, ATEX, or IECEx certifications; plant shutdown experience. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar (Onsite). - Eligibility: Qatar-based applicants only.
