• Role & Company / Project Overview CoreTek Labs is hiring an experienced 2D Layout Engineer specialized in Industrial Engineering / Factory & Site Design for an on-site role in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on comprehensive factory layout planning, site master planning, manufacturing facility design, and end-to-end material flow optimization. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Develop, review, and optimize factory layout planning and site master planning. - Design comprehensive 2D/3D manufacturing line layouts and facility floorplans using AutoCAD. - Drive material flow optimization, warehouse design, and storage efficiency. - Develop and implement PFEP (Plan for Every Part) strategies. - Coordinate dock, yard, and internal/external logistics planning. - Integrate and plan automated material handling systems including AGVs, AMRs, and conveyor systems. - Conduct dynamic factory simulation using FlexSim. - Perform capacity planning, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculations, and production line balancing. - Carry out takt time and cycle time analyses to streamline throughput. - Support greenfield site development, construction coordination, and factory ramp-up. - Partner and coordinate closely with facilities, construction, and EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) teams. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 10+ years of dedicated professional experience in industrial engineering, factory layout design, and site planning. - Strong expertise in AutoCAD (2D/3D Factory Layout Design) and FlexSim (Factory Simulation). - Proven domain knowledge in factory layout planning, site master planning, and manufacturing facility design. - Solid experience in material flow optimization, PFEP (Plan for Every Part), and warehouse/dock/yard logistics planning. - In-depth understanding of automated material handling technologies (AGVs, AMRs, conveyor systems). - Demonstrated ability in capacity planning, line balancing, takt time, cycle time analysis, and OEE optimization. - Hands-on experience with greenfield site development and cross-functional coordination with construction, facilities, and EHS. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite). • Compensation & Benefits - Compensation details not specified. • Application Instructions - Eligible candidates can apply by submitting an updated resume to the recruitment contact.
