Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to support and optimize the reliability and maintenance performance of operations in the Oil & Gas industry based in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Develop and implement equipment reliability and maintenance strategies. • Monitor equipment performance, failure trends, and reliability KPIs. • Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and recommend appropriate corrective actions. • Support FMEA, RCM, and criticality assessments for rotating and static equipment. • Identify opportunities to enhance equipment availability, reliability, and maintenance efficiency. • Analyse maintenance data and recommend preventive and predictive maintenance improvements. • Support reliability improvement projects and technical investigations. • Liaise directly with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve recurring equipment issues. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field. • 5 to 8 years of relevant engineering experience within the Oil & Gas industry. • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance strategies, and failure analysis. • Demonstrated experience with RCFA, FMEA/RCM, and equipment criticality assessment. • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. • Onsite role within Oil & Gas operations.
