Job description

Lae Biscuit Company Limited is currently seeking a qualified Heavy & Light Vehicle Mechanic based in Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy and light vehicles. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately. Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime. Repair engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering systems, and suspension components. Maintain service records and report on vehicle conditions. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies. Assist in maintaining workshop cleanliness and organization. Requirements & Qualifications: Trade Certificate in Automotive/Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent qualification. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working with heavy and light vehicles. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of diesel and petrol engines. Ability to work independently and within a team. Must be reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and currently based in Lae.
