Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview: Shivalik Buildtech Private Limited is hiring a Surveyor for an active Road Project located in Lachung, Sikkim. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Conduct topographical surveys, road alignment surveys, and setting-out works. • Establish and maintain benchmarks, reference points, and survey control points. • Carry out levelling and prepare longitudinal sections and cross-sections. • Set out road centre lines, curves, gradients, culverts, and retaining walls as per approved drawings. • Take measurements and calculate quantities for earthwork, cutting, and filling. • Coordinate with engineering and billing teams for survey data and quantity verification. • Prepare comprehensive survey reports, field records, and as-built drawings. • Ensure accuracy, proper handling, calibration, and routine maintenance of survey instruments. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Educational Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or ITI / Diploma in Surveying. • Experience: Relevant surveying experience in road/highway projects. Experience in hilly terrain is preferred. • Proficiency in operating Total Station, Auto Level, and other modern survey instruments. • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel. • Solid ability to interpret road drawings, survey coordinates, and levels. • Willingness to work at a high-altitude project location in Sikkim. • Prior experience in BRO (Border Roads Organisation) road projects will be considered an added advantage.
