Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview: Universal Overseas Consultants is hiring for a long-term requirement in Kuwait for a leading Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical industry. The position is for an Engineer – Rotating Equipment, reporting directly to the Senior Engineer - Rotating Equipment. The role also involves planning major overhauls, spare-parts/manpower forecasting, directing subordinate staff, and ensuring safe working conditions. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Planning and supervising overhauling of rotating equipment. - Planning major overhauls, spare-parts, and manpower forecasting. - Directing subordinate staff and ensuring strict adherence to safe working conditions. - Conducting equipment reliability studies and performance evaluations. - Performing failure analysis and troubleshooting operational issues. - Executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance. - Formulating and managing maintenance scheduling. - Carrying out vibration monitoring and analysis. - Conducting rotor balancing independently. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - Education: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. - Total Experience: Minimum 10 years as a Rotating Equipment Engineer in petroleum/petrochemical process plants. - Supervisory Experience: Minimum 5 years supervising overhauling of rotating equipment. - Core Equipment Experience: Deep expertise working with large centrifugal gas compressors, turbines, reciprocating compressors, pumps, and diesel engines. - Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. - Language: Fluent English. - Technical Skills: Equipment reliability studies, performance evaluation, failure analysis, preventive/predictive/breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance scheduling, vibration monitoring & analysis, and independent rotor balancing. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: Kuwait. - Work Mode: Onsite (Long-term requirement). • Compensation & Benefits: - Salary: KWD 1,000 per month. • Application Instructions: - Candidates with relevant experience and strong technical knowledge are encouraged to share their CV and other supporting documents via the provided contact details.
