• Role & Company / Project Overview Synapse Business Systems is hiring a Senior VMware Engineer – L3 to join a major enterprise infrastructure team in Jersey City, NJ. This is an opportunity for a senior VMware professional who enjoys owning complex enterprise infrastructure and leading major platform initiatives. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Own and maintain complex enterprise-level virtualized infrastructure. - Handle L3 escalations, advanced troubleshooting, and incident resolution. - Manage High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), vMotion, and clustered ESXi hosts. - Perform enterprise-level system patching, upgrades, and hardware refreshes. - Integrate and administer SAN/NAS storage, standard vSwitch, and distributed virtual switches (vDS), along with backup integrations. - Lead major platform initiatives and collaborate effectively across engineering and operations teams. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 7+ years of hands-on VMware administration experience. - Strong expertise with vSphere 8, ESXi, and vCenter. - Proven track record in L3 escalation management and advanced troubleshooting. - Deep technical knowledge of HA, DRS, vMotion, and clustered ESXi configurations. - Demonstrated experience in enterprise patching, system upgrades, and hardware refresh programs. - Solid experience working with SAN/NAS storage, vSwitch, vDS, and backup platform integrations. - Strong communication and cross-team collaboration capabilities. - Bonus Skills: Exposure to vSphere 9, VCP-DCV certification, automation using PowerCLI / Ansible / Python, and experience in financial services or regulated industry environments. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States. - Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site per week). • Application Instructions - Interested candidates should apply by sending an updated resume to the designated recruiter email or via direct message.
