Role & Company / Project Overview: PT Sillomaritime Perdana Tbk is urgently hiring an experienced and hands-on Head of Mechanic to lead our marine mechanical maintenance team and support the reliability and operational readiness of our vessels. This leadership role is based at our Head Office in Jakarta, Indonesia, with required field travel. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead and supervise marine mechanical maintenance activities across the fleet. • Ensure vessel machinery reliability, safety, and operational readiness. • Monitor Planned Maintenance System (PMS), preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, and troubleshooting. • Manage maintenance budgeting, spare parts inventory, and external contractors. • Coordinate closely with Technical, Operations, Vessel Crew, and Shipyards. • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance efficiency and vessel performance. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. • 5 to 10 years of experience in marine engineering, ship maintenance, or vessel repair, including 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. • Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, propulsion systems, generators, pumps, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. • Demonstrated experience in Planned Maintenance System (PMS), preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and vessel repair. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mechanical skills. • Proven background in maintenance budgeting, spare parts management, and contractor supervision. • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office. • Willingness to travel, visit shipyards, and work onboard vessels when required.
