Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend / Microservices Engineer for a 6-month engagement focused on Healthcare Payer Enrollment & Billing applications. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Design, develop, and enhance healthcare enrollment and billing applications. • Build scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs. • Develop database components, integrations, and event-driven services. • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis. • Ensure code quality, security, automated testing, and CI/CD compliance. • Collaborate closely with business, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 8–10 years of overall experience, with 8+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE development experience. • Strong expertise in Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices architecture. • Mandatory hands-on experience in Healthcare Payer Enrollment and Billing applications. • Proficient with RESTful APIs, backend services, and enterprise integrations. • Deep knowledge of Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and relational databases. • Experience with Kafka or enterprise messaging technologies. • Hands-on proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, and Maven/Gradle. • Solid understanding of JUnit, Mockito, OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security. • Preferred Skills: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Platforms, DB2, PostgreSQL, REST/SOAP, Observability, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Work Model: 100% Onsite in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. • Contract Duration: 6 Months. • Candidates must be available for an in-person interview in Jacksonville.
