Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview: Looking for an experienced backend engineer passionate about building scalable, high-performance e-commerce platforms and integrations in a freelance or part-time capacity. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Design and develop secure, scalable backend APIs and services. • Build and maintain e-commerce platform integrations. • Improve application performance, scalability, and production reliability. • Handle automated testing, CI/CD deployments, troubleshooting, and code reviews. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience (Mandatory). • Mandatory Technical Skills: - Strong expertise in Python/FastAPI or Node.js/TypeScript. - Hands-on experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, and AWS. - Experience with Shopify, BigCommerce, commercetools, or similar e-commerce platforms. - Strong system design, debugging, and automated testing skills. • Good to Have Skills: - Docker and Kubernetes. - Event-driven architecture and distributed systems. - Experience handling high-volume e-commerce platforms.
