### Role & Company / Project Overview Universal Edge Services (UES) is an Operational Excellence consulting firm helping manufacturing organizations improve productivity, quality, delivery, and profitability through Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and digital transformation. We are seeking a motivated and analytical intern interested in manufacturing, process improvement, and problem-solving to kick-start their career in manufacturing consulting through live consulting projects across diverse industries. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Lean Manufacturing: Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, and Visual Management. • Productivity Improvement: Conduct time studies, method studies, and line balancing. • Process Improvement: Participate in Value Stream Mapping (VSM), bottleneck analysis, and overall improvement initiatives. • Data Analysis: Analyse production data and prepare Excel reports and dashboards. • Project Execution: Support consultants in executing and implementing improvements directly at client facilities. • Documentation: Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and comprehensive project reports. • Shop-Floor Engagement: Actively interact and collaborate with operators, supervisors, and management teams. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Engineering graduate or final-year engineering student. • Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering background preferred. • Basic understanding of core manufacturing processes. • Proficient working knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn. • Comfortable working in factory and shop-floor environments. • MUST be willing to travel across India for client assignments, including outstation visits. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Position Type: Paid Internship (6 Months duration). • Work Environment: Client Manufacturing Facilities & Project Locations across India. • Travel: Extensive domestic travel to client manufacturing plants required. ### Compensation & Benefits • Stipend: ₹8,000 – ₹12,000 per month (based on candidate profile). • Travel expenses for approved official client assignments are reimbursed as per company policy. • Hands-on practical learning and real industry exposure in Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering. • Mentorship by experienced industry professionals. • Official Internship Completion Certificate provided. • Potential full-time employment opportunity based on performance and business requirements. ### Application Instructions Interested candidates who enjoy problem-solving and want to build a career in Operational Excellence and Consulting can apply by submitting their updated resume.
