Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer with 12+ years of experience to join our team on a Contract-to-Hire (C2H) basis. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in building scalable, enterprise-grade data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Design and develop end-to-end Microsoft Fabric data solutions. • Build scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines across Bronze, Silver & Gold layers. • Develop high-performance PySpark and SQL workloads. • Optimize Fabric, Delta Lake and Power BI workloads. • Implement security, governance, monitoring and CI/CD practices. • Collaborate with BI teams and business stakeholders on data models and analytics solutions. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 12+ years of relevant experience in data engineering. • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric. • In-depth expertise in OneLake, Lakehouse, and Fabric Data Warehouse. • Hands-on proficiency with Data Factory / Pipelines, Notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2. • Deep understanding and implementation experience with Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver & Gold). • Strong skills in PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and T-SQL. • Experience with Delta Lake, Incremental Loads, CDC, and SCD Type 1/2. • Azure expertise: ADLS Gen2, ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps. • Strong knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Semantic Models, Star Schema, and Direct Lake. • Proven background in Data Modeling, Data Quality, Reconciliation & Performance Optimization. • Experience with Microsoft Purview, Governance & Data Lineage. • Knowledge of CI/CD and Git / Azure DevOps.
