Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Kinexys System Engineer – Security Risk & Controls for a contract opportunity. In this role, the engineer will assess technology and cybersecurity risks, strengthen security control frameworks, and drive remediation across cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, and blockchain environments. Candidates with banking, financial services, fintech, cloud security, or enterprise blockchain experience are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Conduct security risk assessments and identify security control gaps. • Drive remediation of vulnerabilities, audit findings, and control deficiencies. • Implement and assess security controls across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and blockchain platforms. • Support IAM, secrets management, encryption, and cryptographic key management. • Participate in threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and secure solution design. • Support audits, regulatory assessments, compliance reviews, and evidence collection. • Develop security policies, standards, procedures, and control documentation. • Integrate security practices into SSDLC, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 15+ years of relevant experience. • Security Controls, Risk Assessment, and Risk Remediation expertise. • In-depth familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, COBIT. • Cloud Security expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), Encryption, and Key Management. • Security Audits, Compliance, and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) experience. • Knowledge of DevSecOps, SSDLC, CI/CD Security, and Threat Modeling. • Experience with GRC tools such as Archer, ServiceNow GRC, or MetricStream. • Knowledge of blockchain, smart contracts, cryptography, and distributed ledger platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, Canton, Solana, or Polygon.
