Job description

• Role & Company / Project Overview We’re looking for experienced Furniture Quality Control Inspectors to join a high-performance manufacturing team in the furniture manufacturing industry. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience inspecting furniture components, finished products, and production processes to ensure quality, durability, and compliance with company standards. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Inspect wooden, upholstered, or assembled furniture for defects, damage, and quality issues. - Use measuring tools (vernier, tape measure, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances. - Check finishing quality (varnish, paint, coatings, upholstery, stitching, edging). - Conduct in-process and final inspections before dispatch. - Identify defects early and report non-conformances. - Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues. - Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures. - Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation. - Support continuous improvement and reduction of rework/scrap. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 2–3 years’ experience as a Furniture QC Inspector or similar role. - Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes (woodwork, upholstery, assembly, finishing). - Ability to identify defects quickly and accurately. - Experience using basic measuring tools. - Understanding of quality standards (ISO, QMS, or similar). - Good communication skills and high attention to detail. - Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. - Competencies: Detail-focused, strong problem-solving ability, good reporting and documentation skills, proactive team player, reliable and consistent in conducting quality checks. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Industry: Furniture Manufacturing. - Location: Gauteng, South Africa. • Compensation & Benefits - Not specified. • Application Instructions - To apply, send your CV and supporting documents to the designated recruiter email address.
