Role & Company / Project Overview: A leading automotive company in Dubai specializing in vehicle design, fabrication, modification, and conversion across special-purpose vehicles (Police, Military, Defense, Government, and Commercial) is seeking a technically proficient Automotive Designer. The selected professional will develop practical, production-ready engineering solutions spanning the complete product journey from initial concept and 3D modeling through sheet metal design, fabrication layouts, prototyping, and final production. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Design and develop specialized vehicle modification and conversion concepts. • Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, 3D models, and fabrication layouts. • Design precision sheet metal parts, structural components, brackets, and mechanical assemblies. • Prepare complete assembly drawings, fabrication layouts, exploded views, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). • Coordinate closely with Production, Fabrication, Welding, Procurement, and Quality teams. • Review detailed customer specifications and translate requirements into practical engineering designs. • Ensure all mechanical and structural designs comply with engineering, quality, and vehicle safety standards. • Maintain and manage drawing registers, engineering revisions, and technical documentation. • Provide hands-on technical support and guidance during prototype development and manufacturing line runs. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline. • 3 to 5 years of relevant automotive design and vehicle modification experience (MANDATORY). • Hands-on expertise in sheet metal design and manufacturing processes is MANDATORY. • Advanced proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD is MANDATORY. • Proven track record in assembly design, fabrication drawings, BOM generation, and engineering documentation. • In-depth knowledge of vehicle structures, metal fabrication techniques, welding processes, and sheet bending. • Strong ability to generate detailed 2D/3D technical deliverables and manage drawing revisions. • Prior experience in vehicle conversion, special-purpose vehicles, or automotive fabrication is a strong advantage. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Dubai, UAE. • Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent. • Dubai-based candidates preferred. Compensation & Benefits: • Salary: AED 3,000 to AED 4,000 per month.
