Job description
Role & Company / Project Overview: Al-Diyar D-Adapt Engineering Co. W.L.L. (Accessible Mobility Solutions) in Qatar is seeking a skilled Wheelchair Lift Installation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wheelchair lifts and other mobility and accessibility equipment fitted to vehicles, with a background in procurement. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Install wheelchair lifts, ramps, and related accessibility equipment in vans, buses, and other vehicles. • Perform mechanical and electrical installation, wiring, testing, adjustment, and commissioning. • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical lift systems. • Carry out preventive maintenance and safety inspections. • Ensure all installations are secure, safe, and completed according to manufacturer specifications and applicable safety standards. • Modify mounting brackets, supports, wiring, and vehicle components as required for proper installation. • Test all safety features, controls, emergency systems, and lift operations before vehicle handover. • Diagnose equipment faults and replace defective components. • Maintain proper service and installation records. • Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to complete jobs on schedule. • Perform other related automotive, mechanical, electrical, and fabrication works as assigned. • Review technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, BOQs, and scopes of work to determine procurement requirements. • Prepare and issue RFQs to approved local and international suppliers and manufacturers. • Negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty, and after-sales support. • Support tender preparation, technical submissions, compliance sheets, vendor registration, and prequalification documentation. • Perform site visits and technical assessments to confirm equipment requirements before procurement or installation. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Background and competency in mechanical installation, electrical wiring, troubleshooting & repair, testing & commissioning, and procurement support documentation. • Must be loyal, trustworthy, and hardworking. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel and MS Word. • Must possess a valid Driver's License. • Indian nationality is preferred. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Qatar. • Position Type: Full-time / Urgent position. Compensation & Benefits: • Salary: 2,500 QAR – 3,500 QAR monthly (dependent on experience).
