Job description

• Role & Company / Project Overview Seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to oversee project accounting, commercial management, financial reporting, and cost controls for major engineering and construction projects in Qatar. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Manage bill of quantities (BOQ), interim claims, final accounts, contractor invoices, and payment certificates. - Oversee payment processing, cost control, budgeting, and comprehensive financial reporting. - Apply principles of cost classification, costing models, fixed assets accounting, depreciation, and impairment. - Coordinate closely with contractors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline from North America, Western Europe, or Australia. - 15+ years of relevant experience in project accounting or project finance. - Strong experience handling BOQs, interim claims, final accounts, and contractor payment certifications. - Thorough knowledge of cost control, financial models, fixed assets, and depreciation/impairment. - GCC / Middle East experience is preferred. - Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA, RICS, MRICS, or equivalent is an advantage. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Doha, Qatar. • Application Instructions Interested candidates should submit their updated CV via email with the subject line 'Senior Project Accountant'.
