Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced technical leader ready to drive enterprise-scale database modernization and cloud data initiatives as a Database Lead. This dynamic role focuses on leading high-impact projects, modernization strategies, and distributed database architectures. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead enterprise-scale database modernization and cloud data initiatives. • Architect and handle OLTP design, performance tuning to millisecond response, high availability, and replication. • Build and troubleshoot scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and handle API development and integration. • Oversee cloud migration, distributed database architectures, metadata management, and data cataloging. • Mentor technical teams, drive architecture and modernization strategy, manage operational incidents, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Total Experience: 14+ years of relevant technical experience. • Core Databases: 8+ years of deep expertise in AWS Aurora PostgreSQL (RDS) or equivalent relational cloud DB platforms (OLTP design, performance tuning to millisecond response, high availability, and replication). • Data Warehousing: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse technologies. • APIs & Integration: Strong background in API development, integration, troubleshooting, and building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Python, Talend, and AWS EMR. • Cloud & Modernization: Proven experience in cloud migration, distributed database architectures, metadata management, and data cataloging. • Leadership & Operations: Demonstrated track record in mentoring technical teams, driving strategy, incident management (using Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Jira), and effective stakeholder collaboration.
