Role & Company / Project Overview: An established apparel manufacturing company represented by InTalent Asia is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Merchandiser – Bulk in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role oversees bulk production, manages supplier relationships, optimizes costs, and guarantees timely shipment delivery while upholding strict quality standards and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Manage end-to-end bulk merchandising and production coordination. • Ensure timely shipment delivery and compliance with quality standards. • Oversee raw material procurement and supplier coordination. • Negotiate supplier pricing to optimize production costs. • Monitor production schedules, progress, and operational budgets. • Review and approve production samples and prototypes. • Coordinate with logistics teams to manage shipment schedules. • Maintain strong customer, supplier, and stakeholder relationships. • Conduct production review meetings and provide customer updates. • Lead and develop merchandising teams to improve performance. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's Degree in a relevant field is advantageous). • 2+ years of experience in Merchandising, Operations, or a related function. • Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing, bulk merchandising, and supply chain operations. • Practical experience in raw material procurement, supplier negotiation, and cost management. • Good understanding of apparel industry trends and consumer preferences. • Strong coordination capability with Design, Production, Logistics, and Sales teams. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
