Job description
Role & Company / Project Overview We are hiring an Azure Cloud Security Consultant for a 6-month consulting engagement based in Chicago, IL. This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring onsite presence 3 days a week. Any work visa is accepted. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Implement Azure security controls, identity governance, security monitoring, and enterprise cloud security standards. • Configure and manage identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). • Manage Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Identity Governance. • Enforce compliance and governance using Azure Policy and Zero Trust Architecture. • Oversee Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and vulnerability management utilizing Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Wiz Security Platform. • Conduct security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection using Microsoft Sentinel. • Ensure adherence to cloud security governance, risk management, and compliance standards. • Develop and maintain scripts and automated security configurations using PowerShell and Azure CLI. • Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security using Terraform. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 5+ years of overall IT experience. • 3+ years of specialized experience in Azure Cloud Security. • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, Azure RBAC, PIM, Identity Governance, Azure Policy, and Zero Trust Architecture. • In-depth expertise in Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Wiz Security Platform, Microsoft Sentinel, Security Monitoring, and Incident Response. • Solid background in Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), and Cloud Security Governance, Risk & Compliance. • Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell or Azure CLI. • Preferred skills: Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Preferred certifications: AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-104. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. • Work Model: Onsite 3 days a week (hybrid arrangement). • Duration: 6 Months contract.
