• Role & Company / Project Overview Walking Tree Technologies is hiring an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Technology team and work on building secure, scalable, and high-performance applications for a lending platform. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design, develop and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot and Microservices. - Own modules end-to-end, from requirement understanding through development, testing and deployment. - Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices. - Work with databases, messaging systems, Docker and Kubernetes. - Collaborate with architects, product/business teams and DevOps/cloud teams. - Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and solution design. - Troubleshoot production issues and drive them to resolution. - Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 4.5+ years of relevant software development experience. - Mandatory: Prior experience in BFSI / Banking / Financial Services domain. - Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot & Microservices. - Strong understanding of REST APIs. - Experience with Docker & Kubernetes. - Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL/NoSQL databases. - Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems. - Experience with API Gateway, preferably NGINX. - Understanding of Active Directory (AD) authentication. - Experience with JUnit, Mockito or equivalent testing frameworks. - Working knowledge of AWS/Azure. - Strong understanding of OOP, Data Structures, Algorithms & Design Patterns. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. - Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or a related engineering discipline. - Good to Have: ReactJS / Angular / JavaScript exposure, Selenium / Cucumber, Lending / Fintech domain experience, CI/CD and DevOps exposure, Production support and application performance optimization experience. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Department: Technology. - Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. • Compensation & Benefits - Standard company compensation and benefits package. • Application Instructions - Interested candidates can share their updated CV to the recruiter via email for this opportunity.
