Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview: We have an opening for an IPDRG / SDS Coder to manage inpatient diagnostic related group assignments and same day surgery coding in Chennai. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Analyze inpatient medical records and assign principal diagnoses, secondary diagnoses, and principal procedures according to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS. • Accurately assign MS-DRG / APR-DRG codes to optimize reimbursement and ensure compliance. • Code same-day surgical cases while verifying medical documentation and CC/MCC capture. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 1+ year of experience handling IPDRG and SDS coding. • Solid knowledge of inpatient coding guidelines, DRG reimbursement methodologies, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and CPT. • Detail-focused with strong analytical ability. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (Onsite). • Work schedule: Standard operating full-time shift.
