Role & Company / Project Overview GITF Consulting Services India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Data Engineering Lead to design scalable cloud data solutions, lead engineering teams, and optimize enterprise-level data pipelines. Build scalable data solutions for a smarter tomorrow, design big data solutions, turn data into real business impact, and lead teams in delivering high-performance cloud data platforms. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale data pipelines • Build and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, and Python • Develop, fine-tune, and optimize data warehouse solutions using Amazon Redshift • Design and manage automated workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow • Review architecture, code quality, implementation standards, and conduct peer code reviews • Ensure comprehensive data quality, monitoring, error handling, security, and operational support • Lead enterprise-scale data engineering projects, resolve complex production issues, and mentor engineers • Collaborate across cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective data solutions Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 12+ years of extensive hands-on experience in Data Engineering • Strong hands-on expertise in AWS Data Engineering Services (AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift) • High proficiency in PySpark and Python programming • Solid experience in workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow • Advanced SQL knowledge and data warehouse optimization skills • In-depth knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, monitoring, and security practices • Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines for data platforms • Proven experience optimizing cloud data platform performance, reliability, and infrastructure costs • Proven technical leadership, code reviews, problem-solving, and team mentoring capabilities Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Only local Chennai candidates can apply) • Work Mode: Onsite • Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H) • Notice Period: Immediate joiners only (must be able to join by next week) Compensation & Benefits • Modern AWS data platforms exposure and opportunity to lead high-impact, innovative data engineering initiatives in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment Application Instructions • Submit your updated resume to the designated recruiter email address.
