• Role & Company / Project Overview We are hiring an Analyst / Sr. Analyst for Trade Finance Operations (Maker role) to join a global banking organization in Chennai. This position focuses on handling comprehensive trade finance transactions within a global banking environment. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Import & Export Letter of Credit: Manage issuance, amendment, bill booking, acceptance, and settlement. - Documentary Collections: Handle bill booking, acceptance, and settlement. - Bank Guarantees / Standby LCs: Execute issuance, amendments, reversal, closure, and invocations. - Trade Loans: Administer invoice discounting, supplier finance, rollover, and settlement. - SWIFT Messaging & Transaction Processing: Formulate and process SWIFT messages accurately. - Sanctions Screening & AML: Conduct mandatory sanctions screening and Anti-Money Laundering checks. - Operational Controls: Adhere to maker-checker controls and robust operational risk management standards. - Branch Coordination: Coordinate with overseas branches and address operational queries promptly. - Accounting & Records: Maintain accurate accounting entries, transaction records, and MIS reports. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 2 to 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in Trade Finance Operations. - Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Finance. - Core Technical Skills: Deep expertise in Trade Finance Operations, Documentary Credits, UCP 600, and ISBP. - SWIFT Messaging Expertise: Hands-on experience with MT700, MT707, MT103, MT202, MT400, and MT760. - Systems & Tools: Proficiency in banking systems and MS Excel. - Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical capabilities along with excellent time management skills. - Preferred Certifications: CITF (Certificate in International Trade and Finance) or JAIIB is preferred. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. - Standard banking operations shift schedule. • Compensation & Benefits - Competitive compensation according to industry standards for banking professionals (specific details not disclosed). • Application Instructions - Interested candidates with relevant experience can submit their updated CVs for evaluation.
