• Role & Company / Project Overview One Seven Consulting is partnering with an established marine and shipbuilding organisation to appoint a Marine Construction Manager based in Batam, Indonesia. This mandate involves front-line ownership of complex vessel builds at an established shipyard, overseeing site construction activities for vessel newbuild and marine engineering projects, and working directly with clients, classification societies, and engineering teams. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Lead daily site construction activities for vessel newbuild and marine engineering projects - Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and various external and internal project stakeholders - Manage detailed construction plans, milestones, and project execution schedules - Ensure all project construction delivery strictly meets technical specifications, class society requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations - Drive safe, productive, and efficient site project execution while proactively resolving construction and site issues - Minimise project delays and rework, ensuring key milestones are delivered within schedule, budget, and quality objectives - Interface directly with clients, class surveyors, and technical engineering units • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 5+ years of construction management experience within shipbuilding, marine, offshore, or heavy engineering sectors - Hands-on project experience in vessel newbuild, conversion, repair, or large-scale industrial marine projects - Strong capability in managing site operations, project schedules, and contractor coordination - Thorough understanding of marine engineering principles, shipyard safety protocols, and classification society standards • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Batam, Riau Islands, Indonesia - Work setting: Shipyard / Site-based construction facility • Application Instructions - To explore this confidential opportunity or submit referrals, please contact the executive search consultant directly with an updated CV
