Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview JoulesToWatts is seeking a Senior Engineer – Electrical based in Bangalore. In this role, you will design and develop electrical and power electronic components for HVAC and Transport Refrigeration systems, owning component qualification, testing, and reliability from concept through commercial release. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design automotive-type components, power converters, and inverters. - Develop component DFMEAs and test plans, execute them, and act on the results. - Qualify temperature sensors, actuators, solenoids, motors, drives, batteries, and contactors. - Create specification drawings and Application Specification Documents. - Coordinate external regulatory testing including HALT and EMC. - Investigate quality and reliability issues to determine root causes and implement permanent fixes. - Develop system architecture and electrical hook-up diagrams. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. - 9 to 12 years of overall professional experience, including at least 5+ years dedicated to electrical product design and development. - Demonstrated NPD (New Product Development) process experience, including DFMEA, Six Sigma, Gate/IDR processes, and project management. - In-depth knowledge of analog circuits, protection circuits, and controller hardware. - Thorough understanding of electrical safety standards applicable to mobile AC/DC voltage systems. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to lead team initiatives. - Nice to have: Experience with PLM/Windchill, as well as modeling and simulation tools. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India. - Notice Period: Under 1 month. - Interview Mode: Face-to-face in Bangalore. • Application Instructions Qualified candidates can apply by submitting their CV via the designated recruitment email address.
