Role & Company / Project Overview Urgent hiring for a SAS Programmer / Healthcare Data Integration Developer for a C2C role with client State of Texas in Austin, Texas. Looking for an experienced SAS / Python Programmer with strong Healthcare or Public Health domain experience and hands-on expertise in data integration, interoperability, programming automation, and healthcare data modernization. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Develop and maintain data integration, interoperability, and programming automation solutions for healthcare data modernization. • Handle data extraction, ingestion, transformation, and linkage while maintaining high data quality. • Build automated ETL pipelines, data mapping, data validation workflows, and standardization routines. • Implement healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, and CDA. • Work with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Case Reporting (eCR / eICR). • Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms using hospital and public health datasets. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 12+ years of overall IT experience (mandatory). • 8+ years of hands-on Python / SAS programming experience. • SAS / Python / R programming proficiency with data automation and scripting expertise. • Demonstrated experience in healthcare data integration, interoperability, EHR, and eCR / eICR. • Solid understanding of ETL pipelines, data extraction/transformation, validation workflows, data linkage, and dashboards. • Deep familiarity with HL7 / FHIR / CDA healthcare standards. • Prior experience working with State Health Departments, Public Health Agencies, Hospitals, Healthcare Organizations, or Healthcare Registry projects is strongly preferred. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Work Model: Hybrid – 4 Days Remote + 1 Day Onsite. • Location: Austin, Texas, United States. • Strict Local Candidate Requirement: Candidates MUST currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin, TX. Candidates must already be residing in Texas. No out-of-state candidates or candidates planning to relocate. Must be available for mandatory face-to-face (F2F) interviews in Austin, TX. Compensation & Benefits • C2C (Corp-to-Corp) contractual engagement; rate based on experience / expectations.
