Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Specialist with 12+ years of BI and analytics experience for a hybrid position based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The role is open strictly to local candidates. The ideal candidate will function as a BI Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting development, administration, governance, migration, and overall business enablement across multiple BI environments. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Drive BI platform migration from SAP BI to modern platforms including Power BI and Tableau. • Build and manage semantic modeling and data modeling across diverse data warehouses and databases. • Design, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration flows. • Perform end-to-end BI administration, system monitoring, logging, alerting, and security configuration. • Integrate and manage directory services and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID, ISAM, and LDAP. • Optimize dashboard and report performance for optimal query execution and user experience. • Enforce BI governance policies, manage user licensing, and monitor platform usage. • Provide continuous business user support, technical training, and documentation. • Implement and leverage AI-assisted BI capabilities such as Power BI Copilot, Tableau Agent/Pulse, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) AI. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Minimum 12+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics. • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, SAP BI, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). • Deep expertise in semantic modeling, data modeling, and dashboard/report performance tuning. • Proven experience in enterprise BI platform migrations (SAP BI to Power BI / Tableau). • Strong working knowledge of databases and cloud platforms: Oracle, Cloudera, AWS (S3, Athena, RDS), Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), and Microsoft Azure. • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline construction. • Experience with BI administration, access management (Microsoft Entra ID, ISAM, LDAP), governance, and licensing monitoring. • Experience with AI-driven BI tooling (Power BI Copilot, Tableau Agent/Pulse, SAC AI). Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Hybrid work arrangement). • Candidate Requirement: Local candidates only. • Engagement: Contract / C2C.
