• Role & Company / Project Overview The Housing Authority of the City of Asheville (HACA) is hiring a licensed Plumber to help maintain and repair plumbing systems across its communities, ensuring residents' living facilities remain safe and functional. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Perform plumbing diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across various HACA housing properties - Address plumbing fixtures, water supply lines, drainage, and related piping systems - Respond to assigned emergency and after-hours plumbing calls - Adhere to state plumbing codes, safety protocols, and operational guidelines • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - NC Plumbing Class 1 (P-1) Contractor License required at hire - Proven hands-on experience in plumbing maintenance and repairs - Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour days - Location: Asheville, North Carolina (work across HACA properties) - On-call: Emergency and after-hours response as assigned • Compensation & Benefits - Pay Rate: $30 - $31 per hour - Low-cost health insurance coverage - Paid time off (PTO) - 7% employer retirement contribution - Paid year-end closure - Equal Opportunity Employer • Application Instructions - Explore careers and apply through the HACA website or email questions to the Human Resources department.
