Role & Company / Project Overview Join a team working on the development and improvement of autonomous driving technology as a Vehicle Operator. In this role, you will operate test vehicles on designated routes, collect real-world driving data, and report observations to support vehicle testing and engineering initiatives. This is an on-site, full-time ongoing W2 contract position based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Operate test vehicles on assigned routes and collect real-world driving data. • Conduct vehicle safety checks before operation. • Document road conditions, vehicle issues, and driving observations. • Communicate findings and feedback to the engineering team. • Follow all safety procedures and project guidelines. • Use computer systems and project-specific tracking tools. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • At least 1 year of professional driving experience; 3+ years preferred. • Recent local driving, delivery, or gig-driving experience. • Experience with DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, Amazon Flex, Amazon DSP, or similar platforms is a plus. • Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 3 years of driving history. • Current authorization to work in the United States. • Strong communication, attention to detail, and situational awareness. • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new tools. • Must be local to the Ann Arbor, Michigan area and available to work on-site five days per week. • Successful completion of background and drug screenings is required. • A satisfactory driving record and supporting driving-history documentation may be required. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA (On-site Only). • Schedule: Monday–Friday. • Available Shifts: Morning (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM ET) or Afternoon/Evening (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM ET). • Training: The first week of training will be conducted on-site in Sunnyvale, California. Must be available to travel to Sunnyvale on the Sunday before training begins. Compensation & Benefits • Flight and hotel expenses for the initial training in Sunnyvale, CA will be covered.
