Role & Company / Project Overview Apolis is seeking an experienced Test Lead / Java SDET for a 12-month W2 engagement in Alpharetta, GA. The role operates on a hybrid schedule and focuses on driving automation testing, quality engineering, and AI-enabled test automation. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Lead testing efforts across automated testing suites and quality assurance frameworks • Develop, maintain, and execute robust UI and API automation test scripts • Perform database and backend testing utilizing SQL queries • Implement BDD test frameworks using Cucumber and Gherkin • Leverage AI tools to streamline test design, code generation, and test execution • Collaborate across Agile teams, integrating automated tests into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 7–10 years of professional software testing and development experience • Strong Java programming proficiency (Java 8+) • Hands-on experience in UI and API automation testing • Practical experience with Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, or HTTPClient • Strong SQL and database testing expertise • Experience building and working with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin) • Hands-on experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude • Solid working knowledge of Agile methodology, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills • Top 3 Must-Have Skills: Java SDET (API & UI Automation), AI tools experience (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.), and strong communication skills Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States • Work Setup: Hybrid • Employment Terms: W2 Only (12 Months duration) Compensation & Benefits • Contract duration: 12 Months (W2) Application Instructions • Send your updated profile for consideration
